Launched in 2019, Spirit of Discovery is a state-of-the-art ship featuring the design, cuisine and service you only find in the world’s finest hotels. An irresistible choice of restaurants, spacious cabins with private balconies and grand public rooms await you. Along with her sister ship Spirit of Adventure, they are the only small ships built for the British market, offering a balcony for every guest and a choice of speciality restaurants. Spirit of Discovery’s stunning cabins have been designed by top design firm AD Associates.

Standard cabins are a generously-sized 215 square feet, with a classic boutique feel. Best of all, all have their own private balcony, for your own outside space at sea.

Offering even more boutique luxury, Spirit of Discovery’s Deluxe cabins are larger and with more features such as a walk-in wardrobe. Their guest balconies are also larger, for more private outside space.

Upgrade to a Mid-Ship Suite for the luxury of more personal space, up to 462 square feet. You’ll also enjoy a living and dining area, walk-in wardrobe and a bath. And of course a package of added benefits, such as a butler service, pre-dinner canapes, afternoon tea service in your Suite, a coffee machine and more.

The Forward Suites on Spirit of Discovery are the highest-grade accommodation the ship has to offer. With a floorplan up to 855 square feet, they are effortlessly spacious and opulent, also with the largest balconies on the ship. Forward Suites also offer an indulgent package of added benefits, including a walk-in wardrobe, enhanced bathrooms with whirlpool bath bespoke toiletries, customised stationery and more.

They are one-off, signature spaces offering style and luxury, among the finest cabins at sea.

Spirit of Discovery has a fantastic choice of restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks throughout the day. The Grand Dining Room and The Grill. The Grill has been designed to give you the option of a more casual, relaxed and sociable culinary experience. Offering the same dinner menu as The Grand Dining Room on formal evenings, it’s a superb alternative venue, giving you even more dining choice. The Grill offers even more culinary options, from an irresistible buffet at breakfast to a bespoke lunchtime menu.

Adjoining the restaurant is the Verandah – a sumptuous outside space. Here you can enjoy the same dining choices, but alfresco with stunning ocean views. When the weather’s fine, it’s also the place to enjoy irresistible barbecues out on deck.

In addition to our main restaurants guests can choose to dine in one of our three free-to-dine speciality restaurants. Be sure to reserve your table once on board for a truly unforgettable culinary experience!

The Grill offers a more relaxed and social dining experience. Indulge in the same dinner menu as The Dining Room on formal evenings, or visit for a sumptuous buffet breakfast and bespoke lunchtime menu.

 

One of our speciality restaurants onboard Spirit of Discovery is East to West this restaurant offers an exclusive, dinner-only service every evening. Impeccably presented, our chefs bring to the table the full diversity and vibrancy of Eastern cuisine, from classic favourites to those with a contemporary twist.

In contrast Exclusive to 74 guests every evening, Coast to Coast is designed to showcase modern seafood cuisine: the very best of British and locally-sourced fish, depending on what’s fresh in the destination you’re visiting. Sophisticated and intimate, of course it’s also free of charge to dine here.

You can choose from the Coast to Coast seafood platter to share and a range of sauces and accompaniments. Or who can resist our tempting take on classic fish and chips, served with thrice-cooked chips. The ship’s world-class seafood restaurant is another first for Saga.

Another first for us, the Club offers cabaret style evening events with delicious menu choices to accompany. Recalling the famous music lounges of the 1950s, The Club by Jools combines sumptuous cocktails and dining with live music. The cuisine rivals the world’s best supper clubs, with classic starters such as Retro Tiger Prawn Cocktail and Baked Three Onion Soup. Among the sumptuous mains, you can experience Jools’ Signature Dishes; New York Striploin Steak, Tomahawk Steak, Roast Rack of Lamb, Berkshire Porterhouse Pork Steak, Grilled Fish of the Day and Baked Aubergine with Bulgar Wheat and Grilled Halloumi. As with all the restaurants aboard Spirit of Discovery, dining in The Club by Jools is included in your fare.

One of the most relaxing bars on board the Spirit of Discovery, The Club is the perfect place to enjoy a post-dinner drink and enjoy some entertainment from a range of guest musicians.

Just one of the four bars on board Spirit of Discovery, you can visit for pre dinner drinks or book a table for dinner and stay all night, enjoying music and cocktails until late.

Offering a mix of international dining, entertainment and dancing, its an intimate and exciting jazz club with its own ambience.
